On November 18, 2020, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Ruslan Nimchynsky met with Director of Eastern Europe, Western Balkans and Central Asia Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Michalis Karagiorgis.

The parties «checked the clock» on a number of the issues of the current agenda of bilateral cooperation and discussed preparations for the political consultations (in a video-conference format) between the foreign ministries of the two states at the level of the Deputy ministers.

The Ukrainian side expressed its gratitude for the consistent support of the Republic of Cyprus to the independence, sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine.

Particular attention was drawn to the launching of the Crimean Platform Initiative.

The parties reaffirmed their mutual interest in strengthening political dialogue and their intention to develop bilateral relations in key areas of mutual interest.
