After submitting your documents to the consular officer you will receive the invoice to be paid in the bank. The visa consular fee is non-refundable. The Embassy is not responsible for costs that can be incurred if a visa is refused.

Basic documents for all visas

1. Fill out/print/sign up the Online visa Application Form for each applicant holding a separate passport and schedule your appointment online: http://visa.mfa.gov.ua/.

2. One recent colour photograph 35x45 mm (uploaded online and attached to Visa Application Form).

Your photos or digital images must be:

  • In color
  • Sized such that the head is between 1 inch and 1 3/8 inches (22 mm and 35 mm) or 50% and 69% of the image's total height from the bottom of the chin to the top of the head.
  • Taken within the last 6 months to reflect your current appearance
  • Taken in front of a plain white or off-white background
  • Taken in full-face view directly facing the camera
  • With a neutral facial expression and both eyes open
  • Taken in clothing that you normally wear on a daily basis
  • Do not wear a hat or head covering that obscures the hair or hairline, unless worn daily for a religious purpose. Your full face must be visible, and the head covering must not cast any shadows on your face.
  • Headphones, wireless hands-free devices, or similar items are not acceptable in your photo.


3. Original passport/travel document

        3a. Permanent/Temporary Residence Permit in Cyprus (valid at least 3 months)

4. Valid Proof of medical/travel insurance to cover Ukraine and the period of stay (the policy should provide 30 000 euros or equivalent minimum coverage- original and copy. When multi-entry visa is requested, availability of health insurance valid for the first intended visit to Ukraine shall be considered.

 5. Proof of sufficient funds (original of the Bank Statement for 2 recent months) - average daily amount of approximately 50 USD per one day.

6. Authorization letter if visa is collected on behalf.  

7. Proof of purpose of visit according to VISA TYPES (all the documents are to be submitted in original accompanied with 1 set of photocopies) (see below)

 Along with the mentioned documents applicants are expected to submit documents confirming the purpose of their planned visit to Ukraine (see below)

Transit (В) are issued in cases where a foreigner/stateless person intends to transit through Ukraine and each transit period does not exceed 5 days. B type visas are issued as single / double / multiple entry visas valid for a maximum of 1 year or another period depending on supporting documents.  One of the following:


7.1.1)
Document proving transit nature of the trip (visa to a third country, ticket, etc.).
7.1.2)
Document proving transit nature of transportation of goods and passengers by road.
7.1.3)
License for performance of international transportation activities issued by competent authorities in the country of residence.

 

Short-Term (С) are issued in cases where a foreigner/stateless person intends to stay in Ukraine for up to 90 days within every 180 days. C type visas are issued as single / double / multiple entry visas valid for 6 months or another period depending on supporting documents but cannot be issued for more than a 5 year-term. One of the following:

7.2.1)
Invitation from a legal entity registered in Ukraine made on company’s letterhead and containing:
- registration number in the Unified state register of legal entities, individual entrepreneurs and public organizations;
- letter registration number, date and authorized signature;
- full name of the invited person, date and place of his/her birth, nationality, passport details, residential address;
- purpose of visit and its duration, number of entries;
- place of residence in Ukraine;
- company’s commitment to cover expenses related to invited person’s stay and departure from Ukraine.
7.2.2)
Notarized Invitation from a private person – a citizen of Ukraine, foreigner or stateless persons lawfully temporarily or permanently residing in Ukraine – containing:
- full name of the inviting person, passport details, permanent or temporary residence card details (for foreigners and stateless persons), residential address;
- full name of the invited person, date and place of his/her birth, nationality, passport details, residential address;
- purpose of visit and its duration, number of entries;
- place of residence in Ukraine;
- inviting person’s commitment to cover expenses related to invited person’s stay and departure from Ukraine.
Inviting person’s passport copy and permanent/temporary residence card copy (if applicable) shall be attached to the Notarized Invitation.
7.2.3)
Invitation issued by a State authority, institution, enterprise or organization.
7.2.4)
Contract on transportation of goods and passengers by automobile transport as well as the license for international transportation;
7.2.5)
Certificate of Foreign Ukrainian. Spouse and children of a Foreign Ukrainian shall submit documents confirming family relationships.
7.2.6)
Original documents confirming tourism nature of the trip.
You can contact (by phone, email etc) reputable tour company  (Licensing register of subjects of tour operator activity) for visa support etc.
Package content: tourist voucher, invitation letter, hotel confirmation, travel insurance, tour program, bank guarantee, travel agreement, license and certificate.
Original documents should be sent to you by courier service like FedEx, Aramex, DHL, UPS etc.
7.2.7)
Invitation from a medical institution in Ukraine (original) signed by the Head of the medical institution
7.2.8)
Document certifying foreign investment in accordance with legislation on foreign investment regime in Ukraine.
7.2.9)
Document certifying property ownership rights of a foreigner or stateless person in Ukraine.
7.2.10)
Invitation issued by a religious organization and certified by the State authority that had registered the organization for short-term stay in Ukraine for religious purposes.
7.2.11)
Request from a Foreign Media on issuing of visa to foreign correspondent or representative of foreign mass media who enters Ukraine for a short-term stay in order to perform his/her duties.
7.2.12)
Request from governmental authorities of foreign states or international organizations.
7.2.13)
Resolution of the Central Election Commission of Ukraine on registration of official observers from foreign states or international organizations at election of President of Ukraine, People’s Deputies of Ukraine, local elections and All-Ukrainian Referendum.
7.2.14)
Document confirming that a foreigner or stateless person is a husband, wife, father, mother or child of Ukrainian citizen.

Long-Term (D) are issued in cases where a foreigner/stateless person intends to apply for a temporary residence permit to stay in Ukraine for more than 90 days. D type visas are issued as multiple entry visas valid for 90 days. One of the following:


7.3.1.)
Certified true copy of Work Permit;
for foreigners and stateless persons who don’t require Work Permit for their employment in Ukraine – certified true copy of the Employment Contract;
for Foreign Ukrainians – certified true copy of the Employment Contract and the Certificate of Foreign Ukrainian.
7.3.2)
Copy of Immigration Permit issued by the State Migration Service of Ukraine.
7.3.3)
Document certifying family relationships with a person who was granted refugee status in Ukraine or a person who requires additional protection, or a person who was granted temporary protection in Ukraine.
  • Notes: documents issued by competent authorities of a foreign state are to be legalized and translated into Ukrainian language.
  •  All documents issued in the territory of so-called "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” are not recognized by Ukraine.
7.3.4)
Original of the standardized invitation for study/training in Ukraine issued by high educational institution and registered by the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine.
7.3.5)
Invitation from the State institution, enterprise or organization that is a recipient of international technical aid.
7.3.6)
Invitation issued by a religious organization and certified by the State authority that had registered the organization for long-term stay in Ukraine for religious purposes.
7.3.7)
Invitation from branch office, department, representative office or other office of civic (non-governmental) foreign organization duly registered to operate in Ukraine.
7.3.8)
Invitation from branch office, department, representative office of foreign entity duly registered to operate in Ukraine.
7.3.9)
Invitation from branch or representative office of foreign bank duly registered to operate in Ukraine.
7.3.10)
Request from a Foreign Media on issuing of visa to foreign correspondent or representative of foreign mass media who enters Ukraine for a long-term stay in order to perform his/her duties.
7.3.11)
Request from competent authorities of foreign state or international organization on issuing visa for the staff members of diplomatic and consular missions or international organization office who enter Ukraine for long-term period to perform their duties as well as for their family members.
7.3.12)
Invitation from the State authority responsible for cultural, educational, scientific, sport and volunteer programs or from organization or institution that engages volunteers and which is listed on the web-site of the Ministry of Social Policy of Ukraine. Copy of the State Registration Certificate of such organization shall be attached.
7.3.13)
Document certifying marriage with a citizen of Ukraine. Documents issued abroad shall be legalized/apostilled and translated into Ukrainian or English language (+notarized copy)
7.3.14)
Document certifying family relationships with a foreigner or a stateless person who possesses temporary/permanent residence card in Ukraine (documents issued abroad shall be legalized/apostilled and translated into Ukrainian or English language), copy of the temporary/permanent residence card and proof of funds sufficient for the family members to reside in Ukraine.
7.3.15)
Other documents envisaged by the international agreements of Ukraine.

1. The invitation letter (original) of a foreigner issued by Ukrainian higher educational institutions should be registered at the State Centre of International Education (ref. Issuing and registration procedure of the invitations for foreigners and stateless persons intending to study (run internship) in Ukraine, adopted by the Decree of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine №1541 dated 01.11.2013, registered in the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine №2004/255-36).

2. Visa Application Form with 1 photo attached

3. Valid passport

4. School leave certificate with the annex (grades), other education certificates

5. Birth certificate

6. General medical health certificate certified by the Ministry of Health, valid not later than 2 month before intended departure to Ukraine. It should include such things as height, weight, eyesight, blood pressure, allergies, blood and urine characteristics, absence of infectious diseases, tuberculosis, HIV, etc.

Documents listed in 3-6 are to be legalized and translated into Ukrainian language.

All the documents are to be submitted in original accompanied with 1 set of photocopies.

Note! The so called “Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” (“TRNC”) which, according to the relevant United Nations Security Council resolutions and international law, is an illegal entity not recognized by the international community with the sole exception of Turkey. All documents issued in the territory of so-called "Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus” (education, travel documents, etc.) are not recognized by Ukraine.

Carefully check that you have collected all required documentation (Basic documents + Supporting Documents)

Notes: documents issued by competent authorities of a foreign state are to be legalized and translated into Ukrainian language.


The Consular Section has full authority to request additional documents other than submitted by the applicant and reserves the right to interview personally any applicant.

After your visa interview, your application may require further administrative processing. You will be informed by the consular officer if further processing is necessary for your application.

Tourist voucher is an obligatory document for opening tourist visa in the Ukrainian embassy. This document comes forward as an agreementwith the Ukrainian tourist company and the client, it comes as guarantee for all services, and suppose the whole range of responsibility given by the tourist company during the client’s trip on the territory of Ukraine.

You can contact (by phone, email etc) reputable tour company  (Licensing register of subjects of tour operator activity) for visa support etc. and it will send you original tourist voucher by courier service like FedEx, Aramex, DHL, UPS etc). 

Filling the voucher responsible persons from the tourist company are obliged to inform the tourist about the rules of filling documents for entrance and departure, about medical restrictions concerning the trip, data about tour operator (tour agent) etc. Due to the tourist request, it is obligatory to inform him/her about the details of the trip.

Tourist voucher should be filled three times: first example is for the Ukrainian embassy, second one is for should be given to the tourist before the trip, third one is for tourist company.

Not rarely, during the trip tourist uses services of different companies, such as (excursions, hotel reservation, transfer, etc.), so in such situation each company could fill the tourist voucher for him, it means that this company will take responsibility over the tourist only within the bounds of given services.

Tourist voucher confirms the payment for given services from the side of the tourist, and guarantee the whole range of responsibility given by the company during the tourist trip.

Package content: tourist voucher, invitation letter, hotel confirmation, travel insurance, tour program, bank guarantee, travel agreement, license and certificate.
