Today, the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus hosted a meeting between representatives of the Embassy and representatives of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation and the “Heart of Azovstal” NGO, who are currently visiting Cyprus.

The meeting was attended by Svitlana Berezina, Head of the International Department of the Rinat Akhmetov Foundation; Tetiana Maltseva, Director of the “Heart of Azovstal” NGO; and Natalia Shevchenko, Coordinator of the Post-Traumatic Growth Programme at the “Heart of Azovstal” NGO.

The participants discussed the activities of the Foundation and the “Heart of Azovstal” NGO aimed at supporting Ukrainians affected by Russia’s aggression, including:

 support for Ukraine’s civilian population during the war;

 humanitarian assistance;

 rehabilitation and psychological support programmes for children;

 assistance to veterans and their families;

 implementation of post-traumatic growth programmes;

 rehabilitation of veterans following captivity;

 projects for Ukrainian youth.

Particular attention was paid to programmes aimed at supporting veterans in their recovery following captivity and traumatic experiences, helping them return to a fulfilling life, strengthening psychological resilience, and creating new opportunities for personal development.
