The first group of Ukrainian veterans has arrived to Cyprus!
01 September 2026 22:00

Today, at Larnaca Airport, 11 participants in the pilot programme “AFTER” — Ukrainian veterans who have endured captivity — were welcomed with flags and flowers.
They were greeted by representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus and members of the Ukrainian community on the island.
The project was initiated by the Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship Society. Its partner is the NGO “Heart of Azovstal”. Support is provided by the Embassy of Ukraine, Bioresonance Wellness Point clinic, UKRCY.news, and community volunteers.
The participants will take part in a 13-day recovery programme, including physical activity, body-oriented practices, creative activities, emotional and psychological support, hiking, SUP, kayaking, and bioresonance therapy.
The aim of the programme is to give participants an opportunity to step outside the familiar context of war, gain new experiences, and rediscover their own inner resources.
The first group is part of a pilot programme. “AFTER” is intended to become a model for the comprehensive recovery and rehabilitation of veterans.
We sincerely thank everyone who has contributed to this important initiative!
