The Second Festival of Ukrainian Cuisine was organized by the Association of Ukrainians in Cyprus "Society of Ukrainian-Cypriot friendship" with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine within the framework of the budget program for promoting the positive image of Ukraine abroad.

During the festival a presentation of the best national Ukrainian dishes in combination with the Ukrainian traditions and hospitality were presented to the representatives of diplomatic corps, numerous foreigners, Cypriots and their families.

Celebrations began with the speech of Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Borys Humeniuk. He stressed on the importance of such activities of Ukrainians in Cyprus, aimed at spreading Ukrainian culture and traditions in Cyprus and promoting Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus as well as noted the centuries-old traditions of the Ukrainian people, which are vividly expressed in traditional cuisine and national dress - Vyshyvanka.

The event was enriched by the singing performances of talented Ukrainians living in Cyprus, as well as incredibly colorfulness of embroideries (Vyshyvanka) which Ukrainians dressed on the occasion of this event.
