During the meeting the parties discussed various issues devoted to the development of mutually beneficial bilateral political and economic relations between Ukraine and Cyprus. The Cypriot politician was informed on the latest developments in implementation of the Minsk Agreements, directed to resolve the situation in the Eastern Ukraine.

Mr. C.Efstathiou stressed that Movement for Social Democracy supports sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine within the recognized by the international community borders, welcomes the European integration process of Ukraine, particularly supports ratification of the Association Agreement between the EU and Ukraine by the House of Representatives of Cyprus, as well as reassures on the readiness of the party to promote further traditionally friendly and mutually beneficial relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus.
