On the 17th of May 2010 Mr.Oleksandr Demianiuk, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus, held meeting with Mr.Phidias Pilides and Mr. Sotiris Sotiriou, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Director General of Cyprus Investment Promotion Agency («CIPA»).

During the meeting the two Sides have discussed issues related to promotion of investment cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus, in particular with regard to attractive Ukrainian market.

The Ambassador of Ukraine has briefed interlocutors on the economic situation in Ukraine, as well as development of Ukrainian-Cypriot trade and economical relations. In this context the Ambassador emphasized on importance of the Cyprus-Ukraine Business Association’s visit to Ukraine on 18-21 May 2010.

In its turn, the Cypriot Side has briefed on the activity of the «CIPA», operating since January 2008, the main aim of which is to promote Cyprus as an attractive international investment centre and reforms in Cyprus required to improve the business environment, as well as to provide practical investor support and services.
