As part of the visit, the Ukrainian delegation held a number of important meetings with representatives of the Attorney General’s Office of the Republic of Cyprus, the Supreme Court of the Republic of Cyprus, the Cyprus Arbitration and Mediation Centre, and the Cyprus Bar Association.

During the meetings, the parties discussed issues of international legal cooperation, the exchange of professional experience, the functioning of the judicial system and prosecution authorities, as well as prospects for further cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus in the fields of law and justice.

The representatives of the Ukrainian delegation also visited the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus. The Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus, Serhii Nizhynskyi, welcomed the delegation, briefed them on the current state of bilateral relations between Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus, and spoke about the life of the Ukrainian community on the island. The Ambassador also conducted a tour of the embassy premises.

A separate event during the visit was the presentation of the book “Through Pain to Courage” — stories about the trauma of sexual violence during wartime. All interested participants had the opportunity to receive a complimentary copy of the book and a personal signature from the author.

The visit became an important step toward strengthening professional ties, developing international partnerships, and exchanging best practices in the field of the rule of law.
