UIA reports on the implementation of the NSDC decision and the statement of the President of Ukraine on the termination of regular flights
According to the statement of the President of Ukraine, on the night of March, 16-17, regular passenger flights will be terminated in Ukraine. Our passengers - citizens of Ukraine, who are abroad must return home until this time, using all possible means of transport. Citizens of Ukraine, as well as foreigners who are entitled to permanent or temporary residence in Ukraine, can return to Ukraine with UIA flights, which will be operated until the end of the day on March, 16.
Charter flights operated on the dates after March, 16 will be scheduled only for return to Ukraine.
Citizens of Ukraine who are not able to return home during the 15th - 16th of March need to contact the Ukrainian consulates abroad. According to the statement of the President of Ukraine, the state will organize special separate non-scheduled flights to return our citizens back home. We assure that we will provide all support that is needed to state authorities to return our citizens home. Please take into account that the number of available seats on our own scheduled flights on March 15 and 16 is limited, and be aware of limited capabilities during the period of form-majeure circumstances.
In this difficult time for all, UIA will try to provide maximum assistance to compatriots in returning them home, we will take on board as many passengers as there are seats on the plane. For most flights, a cabin layout will be - a full economy class.
UIA is currently processing the passenger handling algorithm to minimize inconvenience and return to normal flight conditions after quarantine measures are completed. The procedure for re-issuing airline tickets for passengers whose flights are canceled will be posted on the UIA website in the near future.
The schedule of flights that will be restored will also be available at www.flyuia.com after the termination of the regular flights. We recommend the passengers to monitor the information that will be updated on all UIA official channels: on the airline’s website and on social media pages.
