Today, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Sergii Nizhynskyi had a productive phone call with the Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Republic of Cyprus, Oren Anolik.

The sides discussed key topics that unite both peoples: Babyn Yar, a shared tragedy of humanity, where honoring memory and striving for justice form the foundation for solidarity. The Ambassador of Ukraine is especially grateful for the emphasis on the importance of justice in the fight against totalitarianism. 

Also, the support of the Israeli side during the evacuation of Ukrainian citizens was noted.

"A lifeline in times of trial, for which we are immensely thankful!"

Moreover, the Ambassadors discussed economic cooperation: the free trade zone as a powerful tool for development, with Cyprus serving as a key transit hub. "I am confident this will open new horizons for our countries."

On the Day of Remembrance of the Victims of the Babyn Yar Tragedy, the Ambassador of Ukraine sent a letter to his Israeli counterpart.

Also the Ambassador of Ukraine thanked for the heartfelt conversation. "Together, we are stronger than any challenges."
