The Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus, Sergii Nizhynskyi, together with the team of the Embassy of Ukraine, participated at the event.

The guests watched the film “Andrey Sheptytskyi. Relevant” and discussed the book “How to Build a Native House”.

In his speech, the Ambassador of Ukraine emphasized:

•  the unity of Ukrainians in Cyprus is our foundation;

•  donations are support for those fighting for Ukraine;

•  the Ukrainian language is our code of unity;

•  the importance of such events for the Ukrainian community abroad.

The participants have learned about the life and legacy of the outstanding church, cultural, and public figure — Metropolitan of the UGCC Andrey Sheptytsky.

We also visited the Ukrainian shelf at the library: books, history, language — all ours!

We thank the organizer of this event, Father Vasyl, and everyone who joined this celebration of spirit and memory. Together, we preserve the legacy of Andrey Sheptytskyi - building a “native house” even abroad.
