During the meeting, the Ambassador expressed gratitude for the support and active participation of the Republic of Cyprus in the creation of the Special Tribunal for the Crime of Aggression against Ukraine and

separately emphasized the importance of Cyprus joining the International Coalition for the Return of Ukrainian Children Illegally Deported by Russia.

The main attention in the conversation was paid to the topic of communications and expressed the intention to have an open dialogue and develop new working solutions between the law enforcement agencies of Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus through the mediation of the Embassy.

Also present at the meeting, Consul Eugen Romanenko spoke about the importance of establishing communication with the bodies of the Ministry system in order to resolve issues related to the activities of the Consular Department of the Embassy.

In particular, attention was drawn to the observance of the rights of Ukrainian citizens, including the detention of Ukrainian citizens convicted by the Cypriot side.
