An international charity telethon in support of Ukraine, Save Ukraine — #StopWar, will take place today, on 27 March, at 5:30 p.m. CET (6:30 p.m. Kyiv time). It will unite almost the entire world and bring together more than 50 participants, including musicians, volunteers, athletes, public activists, and political leaders of many countries who will call on to support Ukraine.
The audience will be addressed by the President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, the President of the Republic of Poland Andrzej Duda, the President of the United States of America Joe Biden, the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic Petr Fiala, the President of Georgia Salome Zourabichvili, the President of Romania Klaus Iohannisthe, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Janez Janša, the Prime Minister of Ireland Micheál Martin, the Prime Minister of the Netherlands Mark Rutte, the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Netherlands Wopke Hoekstra, the Federal President of the Republic of Austria Alexander Van der Bellen, the Federal Chancellor of the Republic of Austria Karl Nehammer, the President of the Republic of Albania Ilir Meta, the Prime Minister of Canada Justin Trudeau, the President of Estonia Alar Karis, the President of Malta George Vella, the President of the Republic of Latvia Egils Levits, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Bulgaria Kiril Petkov, the President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nausėda, the Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain Pedro Sánchez, the President of the Swiss Confederation Ignazio Cassis, the President of Republic of Guatemala Alejandro Giammattei, the President of Slovak Republic Zuzana Čaputová, the President of the European Parliament Roberta Metsola.
Also, Volodymyr and Vitaliy Klitschko, model and writer Maye Musk, Olympic champions, tennis players Elina Svitolina and Marta Kostyuk, a gymnast Lilia Pidkopaeva, football legend Andriy Shevchenko, actor Elias Reichert, a film director Volodymyr Mula, and football player Roman Bezus will appeal to the audience.
World-famous Sting, Fatboy Slim, Within Temptation, Bastille, BrainStorm, Beissoul & Einius, Salvador Sobral, Idina Menzel, Nino Katamadze, and others will also perform as part of the telethon. Ukraine will be represented by more than 20 artists among which are Monatik, Tina Karol, The HARDKISS, Okean Elzy, Jamala, Go_A, DakhaBrakha, Odyn v kanoe, alyona alyona, Antytila, Pianoбой, Melovin, Artem Pivovarov, Alina Pash, Kadnay, Latexfauna, Ruslana, Dakh Daughters, TVORCHI, NK and others. The hosts of the event are Masha Yefrosinina and Timur Miroshnychenko.
The performances of the artists who did not get into the main program due to the time limits of the TV broadcasting, will be published later, in the format of a special edition for the digital audience, on 1+1 YouTube channel. Also, during the preparation of the telethon, a huge number of videos and appeals in support of Ukraine were collected, which will also be published on the channel.
Thanks to the broadcasting from Warsaw, on the basis of the Polish TV channel TVP, the audience can watch how the entire world unites to support Ukraine.
