On September 10, 2025, at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus was held a ceremony of presentation of the copies of the Letters of Credence of the newly appointed Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus, Sergii Nizhynskyi.

The copies of the Letters of Credence were accepted by the Chief of State Protocol, Helena Mina.

During the meeting, the sides discussed current issues of the bilateral agenda. The importance of intensifying political dialogue and deepening trade and economic cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus.

Taking into account the presidency of the Republic of Cyprus in the Council of the EU in 2026, the Cypriot side emphasized comprehensive support for Ukraine on its European integration course.
