The “Tauric Chersonese” state museum-reserve, which was included to the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) list of World Heritage Sites in 2013, remains the Ukrainian one for the whole international community, despite its occupation by Russia.
We consider the intention of the Russian Center for Science and Culture in Nicosia to present the so-called interactive exhibition "Shrines of Chersonese" and to screen A.Mamontov's documentary feature “Crimea. New Era” in Cyprus as another attempt to capture the cultural heritage of Ukraine since the illegal occupation of the territory of Ukraine – the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol in 2014.
