On October 09, 2019, Chargé d'Affaires a.i. of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Nataliia Sirenko met with  management of SkyUp Airlines  - Oleksandr Piont, Ground handling Director, and Oleksandr Dzhydzhora, Director of sales, as well as Managing Director of Orthodoxou Aviation - Antonis Orthodoxou and Sales Executive - Stavros Pierides.

During the meeting the prospects of the Ukrainian-Cyprus cooperation in the sphere of passenger air transportation, extending of passenger flows from Ukrainian cities on the Cyprus direction, issues of safety and passenger service were discussed.

The parties also discussed the expediency of posting information on the SkyUp Airlines website, as well as warning passengers during check-in about requirements of the competent authorities of Cyprus regarding the availability of the necessary package of documents to travel to Cyprus, in particular, a return flight ticket.

SkyUp Airlines is a rapidly developing national Ukrainian carrier. Since March 2019, the company has been operating flights to Cyprus on the Kyiv-Larnaca route. The company plans to increase flights, expand their geography. The possibility of opening direct flights Kharkiv-Larnaka, Odesa-Larnaka, Lviv-Larnaka was discussed.
