The Third Festival of Ukrainian Cuisine was organized by the Association of Ukrainians in Cyprus "Society of Ukrainian-Cypriot friendship" with the support of the Embassy of Ukraine within the framework of the budget program to support relations with Worldwide Ukrainians. This year’s event was also organized with the assistance of the Mayor of Geri Mr. Neophytos Papalazarou.

During the Festival a presentation of the best national Ukrainian dishes in combination with the Ukrainian traditions and hospitality were presented to the numerous foreigners, Cypriots and their families.

During welcoming speech the representative of the Embassy of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus stressed on the importance of such activities of Ukrainians in Cyprus, aimed at spreading Ukrainian culture and traditions in Cyprus and promoting Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus as well as noted the centuries-old traditions of the Ukrainian people, which are vividly expressed in traditional cuisine, art, folklore and national dress - Vyshyvanka.

The event was enriched by the singing performances of talented Ukrainians living in Cyprus, as well as incredibly colorfulness of embroideries which Ukrainians dressed on the occasion of this event.
