During the meeting on May 29, 2019, the sides discussed the development of Ukrainian-Cypriot bilateral relations, the possibility of intensifying cooperation in areas of mutual interest, the issue of interaction within the framework of international institutions, exchanged views on the current situation in both countries, in particular, in the context of recent the presidential election in Ukraine and the current international challenges faced by the two states.

The Permanent Secretary reaffirmed the unchanging position in support of Cyprus on the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine, and the further efforts of the Ukrainian leadership on the path to European integration.
