Following the Revolution of Dignity, Ukrainians affirmed their desire to live in a free, democratic, western-oriented and economically stable country by amending Ukraine’s Constitution regarding the strategic course of the state for obtaining full membership in the EU and NATO.
Despite a five-year conflict with Russian-backed separatists in eastern Ukraine, which killed at least 13,000 people, Ukraine with international support has embarked upon a full-scale business and economic reform agenda.
This reform agenda will harmonize our laws with those of the European Union and change the way we do business, by applying principles of freedom, rights, fairness and openness in all areas of society.
So, we believe that the new Ukraine will function as a normal western democracy without holdovers or corrupt business practices of the past.
