In connection with the celebration in Ukraine and abroad of the Day of Unity of Ukraine the event dedicated to this remarkable date in the history of the Ukrainian State was held at the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus on January 22, 2018 together with Ukrainian community in Cyprus.

In 2018 Ukraine marks 100th Anniversary of the proclamation of independence of the Ukrainian People’s Republic and commemorates victims of the tragic events during the struggle for independence – 100th Anniversary of the Battle of Kruty.

During the event the presentation of the documentary "Heroes of Ukraine - Kruty, the First Independence" took place.

The event was traditionally held in a warm atmosphere, a discussion of events in Ukraine in the context of the struggle for independence as well as Ukrainian flash-mob #UnitedUkraine were held.
