Meeting of the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Borys Humeniuk with the leadership of the Cyprus Hotel Association

On May 5, 2017, Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Borys Humeniuk visited the head office of the Cyprus Hotel Association and had a meeting with the President Mr. Haris Loizides and the Director General Mr. Zacharias Ioannides.
During the meeting the state and prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus in the sphere of tourism were discussed.
The parties stressed the high level of cooperation between the two countries in this field and noted significant annual growth of tourist flows, which exceeded 60 thousand Ukrainian tourists who visited Cyprus in 2016.
In this context, it was noted that the developed flight routes between Ukraine and Cyprus, as well as liberalization of visa regime, including a free visa regime for EU citizens who are visiting Ukraine and the introduction of electronic visas for citizens of Ukraine who are visiting Cyprus contributed greatly to the increasing of the number of tourists from Ukraine to Cyprus and vice versa.
