Bilateral meeting between the Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus

On March 29, 2017 President of Ukraine Mr. Petro Poroshenko had a meeting with the President of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Nicos Anastasiades in Malta within EPP Summit
In the framework of the expanded EPP Summit, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko held a meeting with President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades.
The parties discussed topical issues of bilateral agenda and cooperation in the international organizations.
Nicos Anastasiades fondly recalled his visit to Ukraine in December 2015 and renewed invitation to Petro Poroshenko to visit Cyprus.
Special attention was paid to the issue of countering Russian aggression in Donbas.
The parties discussed the preservation of the existing sanctions regime of the EU against Russia as an efficient instrument of ensuring the implementation of the Minsk agreements and restoration of Ukraine’s territorial integrity and sovereignty.
Nicos Anastasiades confirmed the immutability of his position as regards the regime of the EU sanctions against Russia.
