On October 11, 2016 the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Borys Humeniuk had a working meeting with the Archbishop of Nova Justiniana and All Cyprus Chrysostomos II.
During the meeting the Archbishop Chrysostomos II was informed on the latest developments in Donbas, on the preliminary results of the Minsk Agreement implementation as well as on the progress in the field of implementation of institutional and sectoral reforms in Ukraine. It was stressed on the necessity to unite all possible affords by the international community in order to proceed with the counteraction to the Russian aggression towards Ukraine by, particularly, continuing implementation of the EU sanction policy against Russia.
At the same time, the Archbishop Chrysostomos II was informed on the concern of the Ukrainian Party on the uncertainty with the completion of the ratification process of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by the Government of the Kingdom of Netherlands which could negatively influence not only Ukraine but the Netherlands and the EU in general.
Besides, Borys Humeniuk and the Archbishop Chrysostomos II discussed issues of bilateral cooperation between Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus.
