During September, 10-11, 2016, Ukrainian classical music, Ukrainian folk dances and Ukrainian cuisine were presented in the Republic of Cyprus.
Ukrainian dances were presented by the dance ensemble "Kores" from Mariupol State University which participated in the 11th Festival of Mediterranean folk dance, organized by the Association of Cultural Heritage of Nicosia, held during 9-13 September in Larnaca and Geri.
Ukrainian classical music concert was performed in Limassol on 11th September by the duo Serhiy Khorovets (button accordion) and Lydia Futorska (violin), performing works by Ukrainian composers of 18-20th centuries.
At the multicultural Festival called "Tastes of the World", held in Protaras on September 10 Ukraine was represented with Ukrainian traditional dishes and famous Ukrainian songs.
Ukrainian table was represented by traditional Ukrainian baked stuffed buns (“pyrizhky”) and pancakes (“mlynci”) with different fillings, as well as sweet rolls with poppy seeds and berries, pickled cucumbers and cabbage, fried sausage and meat according to traditional recipe, which had a great success among visitors. Representation of Ukraine in the event was enriched with modern Ukrainian songs performed by talented young singer Uliana Skuratova.
