On May 30, 2016, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Borys Humeniuk had a meeting with the Bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Auxiliary Bishop Josyf Milyan in Nicosia.
Visit to Cyprus of the Auxiliary Bishop Josyf Milyan, Head of the Pastoral and Missionary Department of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church
On May 30, 2016, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Borys Humeniuk had a meeting with the Bishop of the Kyiv Archeparchy of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church Auxiliary Bishop Josyf Milyan in Nicosia.
During the meeting the current state of Ukrainian-Cypriot relations as well as problems and needs of Ukrainians living in Cyprus were discussed. The possibility of establishing of Ukrainian Church in Cyprus and founding of the Ukrainian community was also considered.
Auxiliary Bishop Josyf Milyan, Bishop of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, the secretary of the Pastoral Misionary Department of the UGCC Father Andrii Hakh and Deacon of the UGCC Roman Ilnytskyi were on working visit to Cyprus during 30-31 May 2016.
In Nicosia and Limassol the Holy Liturgies in Ukrainian language were held for Ukrainians.
