During the meeting the current issues of Ukrainian-Cypriot agenda were discussed.

In particular, the interlocutors confirmed mutual interest in continuation of bilateral political dialog between the two countries and stressed on the importance of recent visit of H.E. President of the Republic of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades to Ukraine in December 2015 in the framework of which a number of important bilateral agreements were signed and cooperation in the key areas of mutual interest were discussed.

Special attention was paid to the situation in Ukraine, related to Russian aggression, continuing violation by Russia of the Minsk agreements, continuing of supply by Russia of weaponry, military personnel and ammunition to support Russian terrorist forces operating in certain areas of Donetsk and Luhansk regions of Ukraine.
