Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Borys Humeniuk, in his speech, drew attention to the importance of this remarkable event in the history of our country, stressed the longstanding fight of Ukrainian people for Independence and Unity which continues until now under the conditions of Russian occupation. While informing about historical aspect he noted that unlike in the beginning of the XX century nowadays Ukraine is recognized and supported by all states and international community. He also expressed appreciation to the present on the event representatives of the Cypriot community for support of territorial integrity of Ukraine.  

During the event the archival and photographic document devoted to the Day of Unity of Ukraine were presented as well as Ukrainian flash-mob with the participation of Ukrainians in Cyprus and representatives of the Embassy was organized in support of action #UnitedUkraine.
