On the 14th of October 2010 the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus Mr.Oleksandr Demianiuk held meeting with the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Markos Kiprianou.

During the meeting, the Ambassador of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus Mr.Oleksandr Demianiuk informed Cyprus side about the internal political situation in Ukraine and expressed the position of Ukraine on some european integration aspects. Besides the issues of bilateral Ukrainian-Cyprian cooperation were discussed.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus confirmed the support of the Republic of Cyprus in European integration course of Ukraine.

Tendencies towards the activation of bilateral relations in trade and economic sphere were outlined by both parties as well as the necessity of the political dialogue activation was emphasized. They agreed that the visit of the President of the Republic of Cyprus D. Christofias to Ukraine upon the invitation of Ukrainian President V.Yanukovych could become such a catalyst.

Issues of the meeting organizing between the Ministers of Foreign Affairs of both countries were also discussed.
