On the occasion of 24th Anniversary of Ukraine's Independence on August 25, 2015 the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Borys Humeniuk gave an interview to the Cypriot radio "Politis 107,6 FM».
Ukrainian Ambassador congratulated all Ukrainians who live in Cyprus with the state holiday and thanked the Cypriot citizens and government for supporting Ukraine during this difficult for the country time. The listeners were informed about the changes that have taken place in Ukraine for the period of independence as well as efforts of Ukrainian leadership towards the establishment of prosperous democratic legal Ukrainian state.
Questions of the famous reporters George Gravaris and Ioannis Ioannou also concerned the current situation in Ukraine and the conflict in eastern parts of Ukraine caused by Russian aggression as well as the process of implementation of Minsk agreements. In this regard Mr. Humeniuk stressed on the presence of Russian soldiers and military equipment in Ukraine, continuation of aggression, violation of the provisions of Minsk agreements by the Russian side and supported separatists.
While discussing the Ukrainian-Cypriot relations Ambassador of Ukraine noted the traditionally friendly cooperation between the two people, desire of both sides to resolve emerging issues of bilateral interest and described the current state of cooperation in investment, tourism and finance spheres.
