On April 13, 2010 H.E. the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Oleksandr Demianiuk held a meeting with a Head of the Department of the EU of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Mrs. Maria Xatzitheodosiou in the context of realization of the European aspiration of Ukraine.

The main issues discussed during this meeting were securing of the support by the Republic of Cyprus of the European aspiration of Ukraine and the EU institutional changes. The Cypriot diplomat affirmed position of Cyprus on comprehensive support of Ukraine in the EU that had been confirmed by statements of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Markos Kyprianou made in the framework of his participation in the General Affairs and Foreign Affairs Councils of the EU (22/03/2010, Brussels) in particular.

Also some concrete issues of the European integration were discussed.
