Cyprus sees its mission as building a safer, stronger, and strategically autonomous Europe that remains open to the world.
Key areas:
🔹 Strengthening the EU's strategic autonomy in defense, security, economy, energy, digital technologies, and migration;
🔹 Rapid implementation of the “White Paper for European Defense Readiness – 2030”;
🔹 Support for Ukraine – one of the top priorities (Cyprus, as the last divided EU country, particularly understands the importance of this);
🔹 External borders, competitiveness, innovation, and simplification of regulations;
🔹 Deepening ties with the Middle East and the Persian Gulf region, as well as support for EU enlargement (Ukraine, Moldova, Western Balkans);
🔹 Focus on youth, children, affordable housing, energy, and social policy.
The priorities are aligned with the Trio program (Poland–Denmark–Cyprus) and the EU Strategic Agenda for 2024–2029.
Following the presentation of the Cypriot Presidency priorities in the Council of the EU, the official presidency website and logo were unveiled.
