On September 10, 2020, in the premises of the future office of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine in Nicosia, Chargé d'Affaires of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus Nataliia Sirenko met with Mr. Christodoulos Damianou, Honorary Consul of Ukraine in Nicosia.

During the meeting the preparations for the official opening ceremony of the Honorary Consulate of Ukraine and the signing of an agreement on the implementation of consular functions, which is to take place in the nearest future, as well as prospects for holding joint cultural and economic activities were discussed.

They have also exchanged the views on the existing opportunities of the Honorary Consulate in providing assistance to the work and implementation of cultural and educational projects of the Community of Ukrainian-Cypriot Friendship.
