Today, the Embassy hosted a meeting between the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus, Dr. Serhii Nizhynskyi, and Professor of History and Religion at the Pontifical Salesian University in Rome and the University of Rome "La Sapienza", author of books, organizer of conferences and seminars at the University of Cyprus, Dr. Umberto Mondini.

Umberto Mondini presented the Ambassador with his books, and Serhii Nizhynskyi in return presented a souvenir with Petrykivka painting and the book "From Fear to Courage", which he published in Kyiv.

Professor Mondini is an organizer of conferences for scientists, and the Ambassador and he discussed the possibilities of organizing joint discussions and round tables with the involvement of Italian, Ukrainian and Cypriot experts. They touched on the topic of which historical layers of Ukrainian history are of most interest to the scientific world, and agreed to hold a joint event in the fall of this year.
