On March 14–15, representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus supported the Ukrainian national team at the European Throwing Cup, which took place at GSP Stadium in the city of Nicosia and brought together athletes from 35 countries.

The Ukrainian team included both experienced track and field athletes and young competitors. Among them were Olympic Games medalists, European Championship medalists, winners and medalists of World and European U20 and U23 Championships, as well as multiple-time champions of Ukraine.

The Ukrainian team traditionally holds strong positions in throwing disciplines and regularly ranks among the medal contenders at international competitions.
