The event began with a speech by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus, Dr. Sergii Nizhynskyi, who greeted everyone on the Day of the Armed Forces of Ukraine and emphasized the importance of organizing such events in order to convey truthful information about Ukraine in the future.
This was not the film’s first screening abroad: it was previously shown in Limassol (Cyprus), as well as in the United States and Sweden. This past weekend the film returned to Cyprus, this time to the capital. A special guest at the screening was Roman “Dobryak” Kolesnyk, a participant in the project featured in the film, who spoke about the initiatives that have already been implemented and shared plans for the future.
The audience reflected on the events in Ukraine from different perspectives.
At the same time, according to viewers’ feedback, the film proved to be life-affirming and deeply motivating. The story of former soldiers who, after losing limbs and suffering severe injuries, underwent rehabilitation and successfully climbed to the summit of Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania left no one unmoved.
