On January 18, 2023, the Ukrainian Ambassador Ruslan Nimchynskyi held a working meeting with the Mayor of Strovolos Andreas V. Papacharalambous, during which a number of important issues of the bilateral cooperation agenda of Ukraine-Cyprus were discussed.

In particular, views have been exchanged on further steps to deepen bilateral cultural cooperation, primarily the implementation of the initiative of the Ukrainian First Lady Olena Zelenska to open Ukrainian bookshelve in Strovolos Municipal Library.

Special attention was paid to the consequences of large-scale Russian aggression against Ukraine and the importance of continuing to provide comprehensive support to Ukraine.
