In Limassol, at the invitation of the Tokarev Foundation, the event was also attended by the representatives of the Embassy of Ukraine.

Director Maria Kondakova and producer Hennadii Gazin created a film that reveals the truth about Ukraine to the world in a new way. The film tells the story of five heroes: four veterans who have experienced lower limb amputations and a female soldier who survived a severe injury.

Together, they set off to Africa (Tanzania) to conquer Kilimanjaro – the summit that became a symbol of their “second wind”.

Every frame is not only about the ascent, but about what is happening in Ukraine right now, about the trials on the front lines and the incredible will to live afterward.

The documentary film “Second Wind” has already been released in the cinemas in Ukraine and a premiere in the USA is ahead. The Embassy of Ukraine in the Republic of Cyprus is also negotiating a screening in Nicosia.
