Representatives of governmental, political, business, academic circles and diplomatic corps as well as mass-media, Cypriot community and Ukrainians in Cyprus attended the event. 

In his speech, Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Borys Humeniuk congratulated all Ukrainians and Cypriots with this important date of the history of relations between two countries, highlighted the state of cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus, which was established during 25 years of relations and expressed Ukraine's support for territorial integrity of Cyprus. 

Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Cyprus Mr. Alexandros Zenon emphasized the high level of bilateral relations between Ukraine and Cyprus, and expressed support for the European aspirations of the Ukrainian people and the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine.

During the event, the guests enjoyed a wonderful performance of Ukrainian talents Mrs. Nadiya Tsarenko-Nicolaou and Ms. Maria Volovod-Christodoulidou, performing popular and well-known Ukrainian, Greek, Cypriot and English songs.

The photo-exhibition named "Ukrainian-Cypriot families in Faces" was presented during the evening. The idea of this exhibition – was to show the happy mixed families of Ukrainians and Cypriots which reflect closeness, friendship and mutual understanding of our two peoples. Exhibition was kindly made by the President of Cyprus Germany Business Association and Managing director of Shanda Consult and first of all the friend of Ukraine Mr. Stefan Nolte.
