The meeting was also attended by other high representatives of the European University. During the meeting, the state and the prospects of cooperation between Ukraine and Cyprus in different spheres, including of higher education were discussed. The possibilities of starting cooperation between the European University of Cyprus with Ukrainian universities was also discussed as well as exchange of experience in implementation of European standards in the education systems of the two countries.

Rector Gouliamos informed Ambassador with the activities, rates and achievements of the European University in various fields of teaching and training.

The Ambassador informed the attendees of the meeting about the situation in Ukraine related to Russian aggression against Ukraine, Government’s efforts aimed at peaceful solution of the conflict in Eastern Ukraine, and on European integration process of Ukraine. In this regard, he stressed on the continued support of the Cypriot people and the Government of the territorial integrity and sovereignty of Ukraine as well as European integration aspirations of our country.
