Celebration began with a solemn introduction of the flag and read out of the congratulatory message from the Minister of Education and Culture of Cyprus Mr. Kostas Kadis. Pupils presented theatrical and information program dedicated to this important date in the history of Cyprus.

Ambassador of Ukraine congratulated those present on the occasion of the Anniversary, stressed the courage of the people of Cyprus in their struggle for liberation and confirmed support of Ukraine in the issue of reunification of the island. The Ambassador has also laid a wreath to the monument of the hero of the liberation movement in Cyprus Stylianos Lenas after whom the school was named.
