During the meetings the current issues of Ukrainian-Cypriot agenda were discussed, in particular cooperation in political, trade-economic and investment spheres, as well as the situation in Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus, and bilateral collaboration on international arena and within international organizations.

With the participation of the Presidents of Ukraine and the Republic of Cyprus a number of bilateral documents were signed on cooperation in the fields of higher education, renewable energy, archives and avoidance of double taxation and prevention of fiscal evasion with respect to taxes on income.

During the visit, on December 11, the Ukrainian-Cypriot business forum organized by the Chambers of Commerce of Ukraine and Cyprus was held.

Following the negotiations in Kyiv, President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko thanked President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades for supporting European integration aspirations of Ukraine and expressed gratitude for the firm support of Cyprus for the sovereignty and independence of our state, as well as non-recognition of Crimea occupation by Russia. 

The President of Cyprus praised the efforts of the Ukrainian authorities aimed to reform the country, particularly on the track of European integration.

The parties discussed the “Cyprus Issue”. The President of Cyprus thanked the Ukrainian President for his position regarding this issue.
