On September 1, 2015, in Famagusta UNFICYP Camp “General M.R.Stefanik” the Medal Parade ceremony of UNFICYP Sector 4 was held. The peacekeepers of Sector 4 were awarded with the bronze UNFICYP medal.

The Armed Forces of Ukraine have served with the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus since 2013. Now, two Ukrainian peacekeepers serve in Sector 4 along with representatives from Slovakia, Hungary and Serbia.

The event was attended by the Ambassador of Ukraine to the Republic of Cyprus Borys Humeniuk, who congratulated the peacekeepers with honorary award and stressed the importance of the UNFICYP work.
