Meeting of the Ambassador with the leader of the Democratic Party of Cyprus

On the 29th of June, 2015 the Ambassador of Ukraine Mr. Borys Humeniuk had a meeting with Mr. Nicolas Papadopoulos, the President of the Democratic Party of Cyprus, and Chairman of the Standing Committee on Financial and Budgetary Affaires of the House of Representatives of the Republic of Cyprus.
The parties discussed development of the situation in Ukraine, actual issues of the Cyprus-Ukraine co-operation as well as issues of the ratification of the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the European Union by the Parliament of Cyprus.
Mr. Papadopoulos fully supported sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine as well as condemned aggressive policy of Russia towards Ukraine, destabilization by this country of the situation in the Eastern part of Ukraine and annexation of Crimea. Cypriot politician welcomed European progress of Ukraine and underlined the necessity to ratify the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU by the House of Representative of Cyprus.
The Ambassador of Ukraine conveyed a lot of thanks to Mrs. Photini Papadopoulos, who is a mother of Mr. Nicolas Papadopoulos and a Chairwoman of the Red Cross Society Cyprus, for the humanitarian aid provided by this organization to suffered people from the Eastern Ukraine, particularly from the city of Mariupol.
