In connection with the tragic murder of civilians resulting from an act of terror near the town of Volnovakha, the Ukrainian Embassy in Nicosia has opened a Book of Condolences.
On January 13, using a Grad rocket, Russia-backed terrorists of the so called DNR shelled a Ukrainian checkpoint near the town of Volnovakha in the Donetsk region, once again brutally violating the cease-fire agreements. The terrorists stuck a passenger bus driving nearby. 13 civilians have been killed and 16 wounded.
The President of Ukraine, in his address condemning the atrocity, urged the international community to unite with Ukraine in the fight against terrorism, and proclaimed January 15 a National Day of Mourning.
In this connection, the Ukrainian Embassy in Nicosia has opened a Book of Condolences.
We invite all those who would like to express their condolences, and sign the book, to the Embassy of Ukraine (10 Andrea Miaouli str., 2415 Engomi, Nicosia).
The Book of Condolences will be open on January 16, from 11.00 to 13.00 and from 15.00 to 17.00.
