During the meeting the sides discussed key issues of Ukrainian-Cypriot relations in educational and cultural spheres. Particular attention was focused on the preparations for the signing of the Program of cultural cooperation between the Ministry of Culture of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Culture of the Republic of Cyprus. The signing date was agreed during the meeting, which is scheduled for January 27, 2015.

In the context of cooperation between the two countries in the sphere of education the interlocutors stressed the importance of speeding up signing of the Intergovernmental Agreement on cooperation in the field of Higher Education which will enable mutual recognition of diplomas in accordance to the EU law.
