On May 21, 2015 at 8:00pm at Famagusta Gate in Nicosia the opening of a charity exhibition “Art Arc: Cyprus – Ukraine” will take place. “Art Arc: Cyprus – Ukraine” is a five day exhibition of photography and paintings by internationally acclaimed artists Yuriy Titovets and Augusta Demosthenous. The Ukrainian Photographer and the Cypriot painter will combine their photography and canvas creations to offer a unique journey in time, connecting three European countries: Cyprus, Ukraine and Poland.
Net proceeds from the sales of the art exhibited will be donated to The Cyprus Association for Rare Genetic Disorders “Unique Smiles” to assist in the efforts of establishing a center of excellence in Cyprus. In addition, Humanitarian aid donations will also be collected by the Embassy of Ukraine in Cyprus for the population suffered in the Eastern Ukraine.

About Augusta Demosthenous
Born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1988, Avgousta Demosthenous has studied BA in Fine Arts at De Montfort University, United Kingdom. Then, she completed a Master degree (MA) in Fine Arts with main specialization in painting.
After returning back in Cyprus and settling in a Nicosia-based artist studio in 2011, Avgousta Demosthenous continuous her creative practice as well as private commissions from individuals and organizations.
Avgousta Demosthenous had three solo exhibitions by now and participated in many group exhibitions in Cyprus and abroad
In her work, she combines literal and non-literal interpretation of landscapes, figures and still life, emphasizing on the use of colour and light through mark-making.
